GMs' Conference
Saturday November 16, 2024 9:00am - 12:00pm MST
"What did you wish you knew the very first time you sat down to GM a tabletop RPG?"

This is the question that our panel of experienced GMs is going to address this year. If you've ever wanted to GM a tabletop RPG but felt intimidated, anxious or uncertain about it, you will be our honored guest! If you have started to GM a tabletop RPG but ran into a problem, struggled or couldn't quite find your feet. we welcome you to a community of practitioners who have all "been there." And if you're an experienced GM in our community, please come and share your wisdom and let us learn from your mistakes as well. The GM's Conference has been a place for the community to meet for many years, and this year it is turning to how to cultivate that community's best practices from the very first session.

Speed BG Design: Whose Die Is It Anyway?
Saturday November 16, 2024 5:00pm - 6:00pm MST
Kind of like "Whose Line Is It, Anyway" for game designers. Watch and participate as our illustrious team of board game designers (James Ernest of Crab Fragment Labs and Emily Vincent of Pink Hawk Games) come up with silly new games from scratch. The twist is that you, the audience, get to add to the fun by submitting concepts, mechanics, and materials along the way that they must then build into the final products.

"Sooo, it's a dice drafting game... about taco trucks that are really a front for DC-based spies... and we're supposed to incorporate WHAT?!?"

Hilarity will ensue, we feel certain!

Murder Mystery LARP: An Untimely End in the Enchanted Forest
Saturday November 16, 2024 8:00pm - 11:00pm MST
"The soft glow of the willowisps and fireflies dance amidst the moon dappled grove of the ancient woods. The heady scents of flowers and earth waft upon the cool evening breeze. The gentle rustle of leaves, the babbling brook, and denizens of the forest, entwine with the soft music of flutes and harps floating through the velvety night. Before you stand a henge of tall stone pillars reflecting the brilliant light of the full moon. A shock shudders through you as you take in the grisly scene before your eyes! In the center of the standing stones, lies a battered and bloody form.

Who could have wrought such violence in the very heart of the Enchanted Forest? Who had the motive, means and opportunity to commit this crime? Are you up to the challenge of finding the killer?

Join us at RinCon 2024 for "An Untimely End in the Enchanted Forest - A Murder Mystery Event". You can be a creature of legend and find the culprit who committed murder! You, and the other forest folk, will strive to find who had the motive, means, and opportunity to take another's life. Role play is encouraged, but not required. There will be swag for all our participants and a prize for the winner! Join us and enter a magical and deadly world!
