Flip & Skip is a two-player abstract strategy game that combines the simple skipping mechanics of games like Checkers with the challenging tactics of games like Chess. This version is a giant game that is played on a six-foot checkerboard.
Dead of Winter is a meta-cooperative psychological survival game. This means players are working together toward one common victory condition, but for each individual player to achieve victory, they must also complete their personal secret objective, which could relate to a psychological tick that's fairly harmless to most others in the colony, a dangerous obsession that could put the main objective at risk, a desire for sabotage of the main mission, or (worst of all) vengeance against the colony! Games could end with all players winning, some winning and some losing, or all players losing. Work toward the group's goal, but don't get walked all over by a loudmouth who's looking out only for their own interests!
Dead of Winter is an experience that can be accomplished only through the medium of tabletop games, a story-centric game about surviving through a harsh winter in an apocalyptic world. The survivors are all dealing with their own psychological imperatives, but must still find a way to work together to fight off outside threats, resolve crises, find food and supplies, and keep the colony's morale up.
Dead of Winter has players making frequent, difficult, heavily-thematic, wildly-varying decisions that often have them deciding between what's best for the colony and what's best for themselves. The rulebook also includes a fully co-operative variant in which all players work toward the group objective with no personal goals.
Escape from Planet Argon is a cooperative tile-laying game where players work together to escape an intergalactic prison planet before it is destroyed.
Somewhere on a doomed and distant planet, life has emerged, competing for supremacy until the world’s inevitable destruction. The object of the game is to score the most points by the time the world ends. Score points by playing Traits for your Doomlings’ species, making them more adaptable, resilient, and mischievous. As your Doomlings assert their dominance, Catastrophes will befall the planet, causing setbacks for each competing species. When the third Catastrophe inevitably strikes, the world ends, and the Doomlings with the strongest set of traits gets to look the Apocalypse in the eye and declare…“I scored the most points!”
The catacombs of the skeletal dragon Umbrok Vessna are mysterious and dangerous. Portals transport you all around the dungeon depths. Wayshrines offer vast riches to intrepid explorers. Prisoners are counting on you to free them. Ghosts, once disturbed, may haunt you to death. Despite all that, it's time to leave the board behind, because in Clank! Catacombs, you "build" the dungeon as you explore.
This is deck-building meets tile laying, in the Clank! universe.
John is a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) programmer. He has been a software developer for more than 25 years. He is the designer of "Treasure Fleet" the card game, published in 2006. He has been a Tucson resident for 17 years.
Skyrose is a cooperative medieval fantasy game. Players battle to conquer an impenetrable island stronghold. The castle is occupied by a dragon and an elite army, and protected by rings of deadly terrain. Each player embarks on missions to acquire treasure and other resources before attacking the central island. Players can use gold to purchase weapons for their armies, buy ships, hire mercenaries, and enlist monsters to help them win the day.
In this Euro-style game, players explore space, claim pulsars, and discover technologies that will help them build energy-distribution infrastructure on a cosmic scale. Dice are used to purchase actions, and players choose their dice from a communal pool. There are many paths to victory so you can blaze your own trail to a bright future. Teach 15 minutes Playtime 90 to 120 depending on player count
"Company of Heroes", the World War 2 board wargame, is based on the video game from Relic/Sega. It closely captures the choices, tactics and mission strategies of the videogame. In teams, or as individuals, players will maneuver units and battle for control points to collect manpower, munitions and fuel. Players spend these resources to construct new buildings, purchase units and upgrade abilities, eventually unlocking the powerful end-game units of their nation.
7th Sea is a roleplaying game by John Wick. In this one-shot, you are in a crew of Montaigne-sponsored privateers looking to exculpate your secretive patron's compatriot, Henri des Canons, by finding the treasure that his Castillean rival, Margarita del Mar, buried and showing that it was indeed this rival who stole the royal seal of the Eisen Herzog von Meineigenwaffeln.
A murder mystery adventure for Coyote and Crow. The players will follow the trail left behind by a murderer in Cahokia, and will be left with a moral dilemma should they uncover the murderer's identity. This session is hosted by RinCon special guest Wynnona West!
In Dishonored: The Roleplaying Game, players delve into the turbulent Empire of the Isles, to tell stories of occult lore, intrigue and drama. This module is an easy to play, beginner scenario where the players (hopefully) defend themselves from a pirate attack.
You are a group of adventurers hired by the Silver Key Adventurers Guild, a business that takes care of anything that is outside the jurisdiction of the local garrison of Winterhaven. Your party arrives in the Village of West Downing. You are poorly mounted, badly equipped, and have no large sums of cash. In fact, all you have is what you wear and what you ride, plus a few coins that are hidden in purses and pockets. What you do possess in quantity, though, is daring and a desire to become wealthy and famous. Thus your group comes to West Downing to learn if this is indeed a place for adventurers to seek their fortunes. You all hope, of course, to gain riches and make names for yourselves. What the outcome of this will be is uncertain, but your skill and daring, along with a good measure of luck will be the main ingredients of what follows, be it weal or woe. Your ears are tickled by rumors of a ruined Moathouse and some strange happenings. Ready your swords and spells. Fortune awaits! This adventure is fantasy based and is an introduction to the Legends of Kralis game system. Players will get to choose what game level to play when they arrive at the table.

Welcome to the Northern Expanse, a place where nature is still unexplored, mystical and dangerous. When the humans first arrived, they thought they found an unspoiled paradise, filled with bountiful forests, lakes swimming with fish and cold freshwater flowing from the mountains. But as their settlements expanded and the surrounding forests grew thinner, nature itself pushed back. Great creatures known as Beasts emerged, and with their fangs, claws and mystical powers, they proved an incredible threat to the humans. In order to protect the settlements, humans enlisted specialised hunters, tasked with tracking and killing the Beasts before too many of their kin perish.
The Beast uses a deck of direction cards to move over forests, swamps and caverns, using guile and deceit to hide its track from the hunters. However, whenever a hunter moves over a location where the Beast has previously been, a trail appears. Only when a hunter searches a location or the Beast itself attacks an unsuspecting target is the Beast's actual position revealed. More so, each hunter has but one chance of searching each round, making it a tense and difficult decision. Hunters seldom have full information whether the trail they’re pursuing contains the Beast’s actual location, or if the trail has already gone cold.
Each action you perform in this game is done by playing a card from your hand (up to a maximum of two cards per turn). This means that if a player wants to search, attack or move, they need to have a card in their hand that lets them do that. Before each round, both hunters and Beast participate in a draft for the most important cards. All action cards can be used by both Beast and hunters alike.
In order to win this game, you either need to cooperate every step of the way if you play as a hunter, or skillfully outmaneuver your opponents if you play as Beast. On their own, hunters are never

Dungeon World is very easy to do homebrew Playbooks, but we'll stick with the basics and what I already know is balanced. Event Name: Savage Rifts: Carnival of Cadavers Event Type: A Savage Worlds Saga RPG System: Savage Worlds Adventure Edition Experience Required? Helpful, but not required. The event is designed to help new players learn the system. Characters Required? Pre-made characters provided. Summary: The Tomorrow Legion investigates foul play in southern Arizona where a new carnival is at the center of missing person cases.
Rifts® is a multi-genre role-playing game that captures the imagination unlike any other. Elements of magic, horror, and the supernatural co-exist with science, high technology and the ordinary. The game spans countless dimensions, making anything and everything possible. Players are truly limited only by their imaginations!
Before the Great Cataclysm, Arizona was moderately populated and housed the greatest number of its residents in and around the capital of Phoenix, very near the geometric center of the state. In Rifts®, the population is much less concentrated, with small ranches, homesteads, towns and nomadic tribes scattered throughout the region. Arizona is very expansive and foreboding to would-be settlers. Dinosaurs, monsters, vampires and creatures from the Rifts roam the land, as do bandits, thieves, outcasts, Simvan, and adventurers.
Recently several missing persons have centered around a new carnival that has popped up at the southern edge of the area. The Tomorrow Legion is investigating along side Alba (Dawnbringers) as vampiric activity is suspected.
